2 Peter 3:9
9 The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.
See… when you don’t see the Lord’s promises fulfilled in your life before you die… it’s because the Lord is slow to [...]

The “Giving Kiosk” is a product that makes me go, “Why the hell didn’t I think of that!?” Not really, because I could never live with myself… but seriously… it’s a little crazy. I just can’t imagine walking into church where there is a flashing kiosk asking me for my money.
Although, thinking about it more, [...]

As you’re coming to find out, I love The Fake Steve Jobs blog. In his most recent post, he points out that even Jesus himself didn’t always tell the truth. He also points out that those who wrote the gospel contradict each other… and concludes that one of them must be lying:
You go through the [...]

Random Bible Verse
Galatians 6:9-10
9 And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. 10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
So… make sure you go do [...]

Politics… religion… politics… religion.

That they risked their life just to get here, and [...]

In reading up on my religious news, this Wall Street Journal article popped up. It got me thinking… why IS nobody asking about President (edited to add, President) Obama’s Faith Based Initiative now (and about all the ways it is not supporting the idea of separation of church and state)? Why is the Faith Based [...]

I know there will be many tributes and memorials today. As I think back to this day, I can’t help but feel a little of what I felt on that day. I remember getting a call very early in the morning, and knowing it wasn’t good. Of course, I had no idea how ‘not good’ [...]

If I knew then what I know now I would have:
Questioned the church leaders a LOT more, and made them actually answer my questions
Stopped being friends with people just because I thought I had to be (even though I didn’t like them!)
Told that church going asshole that he WAS an ASSHOLE
Dated that nice non-christian guy [...]

In high school, it was pretty much known that if you were a Christian at our church you were pro-life. Pro-life in a decently conservative way… thinking that even in a circumstance of rape, one must at least consider having the child. I remember being somewhat uncomfortable with the pro-life movement (perhaps this was my [...]
